TMI / FREE BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AUDIT

SEE WHAT
YOUR BUSINESS
IS MISSING.

In one working session we review how your company sells, operates, communicates, tracks information and makes decisions. You leave with a Business Intelligence Score out of 100, your biggest bottlenecks, and a short list of what we would fix first. It is free, and it is useful even if you never hire us.

WHO THIS IS BUILT FOR

Operations-heavy companies that already work. If the business has employees, customers and more than one system, there is something here.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

FIVE THINGS
LEAK OUT OF A COMPANY.

Almost every established operation we look inside is losing the same five things, and losing them quietly. Not through anything dramatic. Through a hundred small places where information has to be carried by a person instead of moving on its own.

The audit is a structured way of finding where yours are going.

01

TIME

Hours spent copying information between systems, rebuilding the same report, chasing a document, or finding out where a job stands.

02

MONEY

Margin nobody sees until after billing. Job types priced from memory. Quotes that were never followed up.

03

DATA

Numbers the company technically has and cannot actually reach, because getting them means asking someone.

04

OPPORTUNITIES

Dormant customers nobody tracks, inquiries answered slowly, and work that could have been won by replying first.

05

OWNER FREEDOM

Decisions that still have to come to you because nobody else has the context to make them.

THE INSTRUMENT

TEN AREAS.
ONE HUNDRED POINTS.

Each area is worth ten points and has a written rubric behind it, so the score does not depend on who from TMI ran your audit. We score from your answers after the call, not in front of you.

AREA

WEIGHT

WHAT IT MEASURES

Owner Independence

10 pts

How much of the company runs without you in the room. What stops when you leave, who can approve a price, and what breaks first if you are gone for a month.

Sales Intelligence

10 pts

Whether every lead is tracked, how fast they are contacted, what happens to a quote nobody followed up, and whether you can see close rate, cycle length and why deals were lost.

Operations

10 pts

How a job enters the business and what happens to it after. Who schedules it, where the details live, how a delay becomes visible, and how much of it moves by call and text.

Data Visibility

10 pts

Whether you could answer seventeen ordinary questions about your own company inside sixty seconds. Revenue, open quotes, jobs behind schedule, margin by job, outstanding invoices.

Technology

10 pts

Every system you pay for, mapped and marked connected, disconnected, manual or duplicate. We are looking for the same information being typed in three times.

Automation

10 pts

The work your team repeats every day. Copying information, rebuilding the same report, chasing documents, answering the same question. Counted in hours, not adjectives.

Customer Experience

10 pts

What it is like to be your customer. How they request work, how quickly they hear back, whether they can see status, and how you ask for the next job.

Team Systems

10 pts

Whether people know what they own, whether the process is written down anywhere, how long onboarding takes, and what leaves the building when one person does.

Financial Visibility

10 pts

Whether margin is known before the invoice goes out, which service actually makes money, which loses it, and how exposed you are to your largest customer.

Scale Readiness

10 pts

Whether the company could double without doubling the chaos, and whether someone could buy it tomorrow and understand how it works.

Most established companies we look at land somewhere between the thirties and the fifties. That is not a failing grade. It is what happens when a company grows by being good at the work rather than by building systems, which is most of them.

THE PART OWNERS REMEMBER

WE COUNT
THE HOURS.

Most of what gets called inefficiency is never measured, so it never gets argued about properly. During the audit we take the repeated work your team does and write it down as arithmetic: the task, who does it, how often, and how long it takes.

Then we total it. The figure in your report is built only from numbers you gave us.

HOW THE ARITHMETIC WORKS — ILLUSTRATION ONLY

Your own total———from your numbers

These three rows are an illustration of the method, not a result TMI has produced for anyone. Your report carries your tasks, your frequencies and your minutes. We do not estimate savings, and we do not publish a return-on-investment figure before any work has been done.

AFTER THE CALL

FIVE PAGES,
SENT TO YOU.

You do not have to take notes. Within two working days you get a five-page report written from the call, which you own and can show to a partner, a banker, a buyer or your management team.

01

Your score

The Business Intelligence Score out of 100, with one paragraph on what it means for a company like yours.

02

What we found

Revenue that may be slipping, hours being lost, the main operational bottlenecks, and the data the company cannot currently see.

03

Your intelligence map

Lead to estimate to job to production to delivery to invoice to follow-up, with the breaks marked. This is usually the page owners photograph.

04

What we would fix first

Three things. Not a wishlist, not twenty recommendations. The three with the shortest path between effort and relief.

05

Your intelligent company

What the same operation looks like once the information moves on its own, and the honest distance between here and there.

THE CALL ITSELF

THIRTY TO FORTY-FIVE
MINUTES.

No preparation needed. We research the company before we speak, so the time goes on what we cannot find out from outside.

  1. 5 MIN

The business and where you want it

What the company does, how big it is, and what you want it to look like in twelve months. Everything after this is measured against that answer.
  2. 15 MIN

    The audit itself

We work through the ten areas. Mostly you are describing how the work actually happens, not how it is supposed to happen.
  3. 10 MIN

    Digging into what surfaced

Two or three things will stand out. We go after those properly rather than finishing a checklist.
  4. 5 MIN

    What we found

We say it back to you plainly, including the parts that are working and should be left alone.
  5. 5 MIN

    What happens next

Whether there is a next step, and what it would be. If there is not one, we say that.

We finish with one question: if we could fix only one thing we found today, which would make the biggest difference? Your answer is worth more than the rest of the call put together.

THE QUESTIONS
OWNERS ASK FIRST.

Is it actually free?
Yes, and there is nothing to buy at the end of it. You get the score and the report whether or not we ever work together. We do this because the fastest way to find the companies we can genuinely help is to look inside a lot of them.
What do you need from me before the call?
Nothing prepared. We research the company beforehand so we are not asking you the obvious. If you can have rough numbers to hand — monthly jobs, average job value, headcount — the report comes back sharper, but the call works without them.
Who should be on the call?
The owner, and whoever actually knows how the work moves. Often that second person is an operations manager or a long-serving scheduler, and they are frequently the most useful voice in the room.
Is this a sales call?
It is a diagnosis. We spend about five minutes of the forty-five on what happens next, and only if there is something worth doing. There is no demo, no slide deck, and no generic presentation about artificial intelligence.
How is the score calculated?
Ten areas, ten points each. Each area has a written rubric, so two different people from TMI running the same audit land in the same range. The score is produced from your answers after the call, not guessed on the call.
Will the score be flattering?
Usually not, and that is the point. Most established companies we look at score between the thirties and the fifties, because they grew by being good at the work rather than by building systems. A low score is a map, not a verdict.
Can I just get the score without the call?
No. There is no self-serve scorecard or quiz on this site. A number produced by a form someone fills in about themselves is worth very little, and we would rather give you nothing than that.
What happens to what I tell you?
It stays with TMI and it never moves between clients. If you want a mutual NDA in place before the call, say so when you book and we will sign one first.
What if we are too small?
If the company has employees, customers and more than one system, there is something here. The audit is built for established operations rather than pre-revenue startups, and if you are outside that we will tell you on the call rather than after it.
What does the work cost if we go ahead?
It depends entirely on what the audit finds, which is why we will not quote before doing it. Starting prices by category are published on the pricing page so you can see the shape of it before you ever speak to us.
